then you gotta take off the plastic frame that goes around the radio, holds the clock and two middle air vents. It has 4 phillips screws which are hidden behind 3 plastic clips that snap out be careful not to break them. theres 2 small ones at the top and the long one right above the radio. after you unscrew and pull the frame off you will see 2 more phillips right there in the area where the clock used to be. Take those off and theres one more phillips under the ashtray. After that you should be able to lift the center column up then you got your lighter and sport/touring ect wires to unplug. Then take that rubber boot off and you should see your problem right there. You can see it from under the car, but I dont think you can change everything from under there, but there is 4 bolts that you can only get to from under if you need to take those off. When I fixed mine I just fabricated a piece of metal to replace that rubber bushing and it works better than before. If you want an aftermarket one I remember zspeedperformance has a metal one for about $150.
